Violence in America

Targeted violence is now encouraged in public speech and on-line.  A Quinnipiac Poll just released shows 79% of public believes we are in a political crisis.  This is influenced by extreme left-wing statements that are inciting impressionable people to criminal action.

The stream of rhetoric from extreme Democrats that their opponents are Fascists, Nazis, and that ICE is a Gestapo are highly inflammatory. The consistent claims the Trump is the “End of Democracy” are opinions, not fact.  Nevertheless, it has a negative influence on people prone to commit violence.

Comment: ICE agents are Federal Officers sworn to enforce the law regarding Illegal Immigrants. These laws have been in effect for many years, way before Trump.  They are nothing new.  Now the law is enforced according to due process such as it exists for illegals.  They do not have the same rights as U.S. Citizens just because they managed to cross the border.

Aside from making ICE a target, the extremist statements are inciting political violence in general.

Here is a list of recent crimes committed due to ideological influence:

September 24, 2025

Shooting of ICE Building in Dallas, TX resulted in death of three detainees.  The killer, Joshua Jahn was influenced by Left Wing ideology.  He inscribed “ANTI ICE” on bullet casings.  Tragically, his random shooting hit 3 Detainees, at least one dead.  He did not hit an ICE agent.

September 10, 2025

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed.  The shooter, Tyler Robinson, was influenced by left-wing rhetoric.  On a bullet casing he inscribed “Hey Fascist, Catch.”  He was influenced by transgender promotion from left-wing activists and a fear that Charlie Kirk would threaten his trans relationship.

Clashes outside Broadview, IL ICE facility.  DHS reports 16 protesters were arrested, including for assault on law enforcement officers.

The killer was identified as 23-year-old Robin M. Westman.  Diary entries and online posts by Westman included violent ideation, references to mass shootings, and messages on guns/magazines expressing antisemitic and anti-Catholic views.  He was influenced by transgender association promoted by left-wing activists.

Messages attributed to the shooter included “kill Donald Trump,” references to “6 million wasn’t enough,” and names of mass shooters.

They used fireworks and vandalism as distractions, spray-painted messages (“Fight ICE terror with class war”, “Free all political prisoners”), and then fired AR-style rifles.

One Alvarado police officer was shot in the neck but survived.

June 2025

Over 1,000 protestors surrounded a federal building housing ICE operations in Los Angeles; they assaulted ICE officers, slashed tires, and defaced property.

The DHS issued statements condemning the actions and pointing to “dangerous rhetoric” about ICE as part of the blame.

June 14, 2025

State Rep. Melissa Hortman was assassinated at her home in MN. Earlier that morning, another state legislator and spouses were shot and wounded.  The killer was Vance Luther Boelter, age 57.

He claimed to be under direction from MN Governor Tim Walz.  That has no substantiation.

He was also known to be an anti-gay conservative.

May 21, 2025

Two American Israeli embassy staff killed; the suspect chanted “Free, free Palestine!” and left a manifesto condemning U.S. support for Israel. The shooting took place outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C.

The shooter was Elias Rodriguez, a 31 year-old man from Chicago. Rodriguez is reported to have had links to left-wing activism and protest movements in Chicago, including involvement with the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) in 2017.

November 2024

A man killed multiple family members in Duluth, MN.  Reports say he had threatened relatives over the prospect of Trump winning in 2024, suggesting political animus was a factor.  Left Wing.

September 15, 2024

A second attempted assassination of Trump at his golf club in West Palm Beach. The assailant was Ryan Routh, charged with multiple weapons and conspiracy offenses.  In writings and public statements, Routh claimed to have become disillusioned with Trump. He released a self-published book and made past statements regarding political violence, including a letter stating that if Trump were to win, it would mark “the end of Democracy and the beginning of a Civil War.”  Echoes of extreme Democratic rhetoric.

July 13, 2024

An attempted assassination of Donald Trump at a campaign rally near Butler, PA.  The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired from a rooftop; Trump was wounded.  In the attack, one spectator (Corey Comperatore) was killed and others were wounded.

SUMMARY

Out of 15 crimes cited above, 14 were committed by Leftist elements,

You can say that extremists have the Freedom of Speech to speak their mind.

This is fine until they reach the point of incitement to violence.

Elected politicians have a higher duty given their positions of influence on the population.  Extreme rhetoric has spawned a violent response from too many in our population.  This is the road to anarchy.

How many innocent people must die before they stop.  No political view can justify what they are doing.
