Over 70% of the country believes we are going in the wrong direction.
This is a good time to review the founding principles of the United States and how we get back on track.
The Founding Fathers developed a visionary U.S. Constitution based on the concept of limited Federal Government and most powers reserved to the States.
The original purpose was to unite the Thirteen colonies into a Federation that would provide for the common interests of defense, security of individual rights, and free commerce.
The Constitution reserved very few Powers to the Federal Government. All other Powers were reserved for the States.
Amendment 10 to the Constitution provides as follows:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Clear and simple – the Federal Government was meant to have limited power over the States and the people.
Over the last 100 years the Federal Government has usurped many powers based on various interpretations and manufactured reasons by the Supreme Court and beliefs in
Central Power in Washington D.C.
This growth in Federal Power belies the issue that Centrists do not possess the wisdom to create “one size fits all” solutions for the States and the people.
Every State has differences in culture, needs, and resources. That is Diversity. The States need to resume the role envisioned by the original Founders of the United States.
Now the question is how to reenable Power to the States.
That leads to what will happen in the near future - a possible reduction in Federal funding, control, rules, and regulations that hamper Freedom of the States and the people to grow their economies and improve Standards of Living for all, not just the wealthy who currently dominate Federal policy with money influence.
