Reengineering The Federal Government

Over the last 100 years the Federal Government has become Bureaucracy Gone Wild.
The Original Intent of the Constitution is a Federal Government limited to assuring defense, security with open commerce and recognition between the States. A Basic Code of civil liberty was established under the Bill of Rights for a cohesive treatment of individual rights for the People and Due Process by all the States. Simple and Clear.
Excess Spending, Rules, and Regulation have become the order of the day.
Why ? The controlling Parties in our elected Government have assumed the desire to control America’s economy and social agenda. At the heart of this system is money from influential wealthy who use their contributions to manage the activity of politicians who gladly accept the off-record compensation.
It seems like the People are now expressing the need for Change.
The problem is revealed by a look at the size of the Federal Organization Charts.
President Staff Members
George Washington: 5 Four Cabinets plus Postmaster General.
Abraham Lincoln 7 All Cabinet Level.
Franklin D. Roosevelt 12 Ten Cabinets plus Chief of Staff and War Production.
Ronald Reagan 16 Thirteen Cabinet plus Chief of Staff, NSA, & OMB.
Joe Biden 26 Fifteen Cabinet plus Eleven Treated as Cabinet Level.
This is a clear demonstration of Federal Growth Gone Wild.
The Span of Control at the Presidential management level is not viable.
Cogport proposes major reengineering at the President’s Staff level to Twelve Direct Reports. (From the current 26).
If you have ever been in a Management Position, you know that you need a Staff that is focused on major agendas. Imagine having a total Staff meeting of 26 Managers – it is not Productive.
The Goal: Consolidate the President’s Direct Staff to about 12 Members who can conduct a Productive meeting that advances Unified Policies.
The key to Success is the appointment of highly qualified Cabinet Members who will carry out the Direction of the President.
Summary
Trump, and the new Department of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk, need to consider these structural issues. They can reduce spending with bureaucracy reductions and use of new AI technology.
But they will not make a goal of $ 2 Trillion reduction with piecemeal changes. A Major Reorganization is required.
Provided Below is a Chart of The Proposed Presidential Staff for 12 Consolidated Departments. Followed by Chart for the Current 26 Direct Reports.
