Opening Statement For Cogport

Welcome to Cogport. 

This Site is created to provide objective information and analysis about Current Events and Items of Interest.

We will also provide commentary supported by facts.

What does Cogport mean? It derives from the words Cognition and Port (as in a safe harbor for critical thinking).

Subjects upcoming include News, Technology, Economics & Markets, Politics, Legal Issues, Big Media, and Climate Change.

Our intent is to have readers engage in cognitive thought about various topics.  You will find that we Ask Quality Questions and Provide Information needed to reach a logical conclusion.  Or at least a better understanding of the issues.

We look forward to feedback and dialogue with our readers. Please participate with your comments and questions.

Our first published post will be released on April 10, 2024. As a preview, we will discuss the Theory of Variation. This may sound like a dry tome. However, you will find it is a recurring theme in our analysis.

Variation exists everywhere: People, Societies, Things, Processes, and Nature. It helps explain much about what happens in our world.

To make things interesting, we will apply the Theory to the subject of Human Nature.

This Site is managed by David Hollaender. I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a Licensed Attorney. I have life experience working in management with large companies (such as GE) and small businesses. I have also devoted much time in self-study of the subjects I like to cover.
